Porcelain veneers are an excellent cosmetic treatment for our patients whose teeth have structural flaws, such as cracks and chips, or are too discolored and stained for dental whitening to yield satisfactory results. In addition, they can be applied to the outer surface of only one particularly damaged tooth or all of them, giving patients a complete and beautiful makeover that will have them smiling with complete confidence.
“Veneers are ultra-thin coverings or ‘shells’ made from durable ceramic material,” explains Colorado Springs and Pueblo dental veneer specialists. “They are custom-made to fit snugly over the outer surface of your tooth or teeth, effectively covering evidence of staining and discoloration. They also cover and fill in the portions of the tooth structure that have been removed or become damaged.”

During your initial consultation, molds will be taken from your teeth to aid in custom fabricating your porcelain veneers. Once these are ready, you can return to our Dental Center to have them placed by one of our expert doctors. This will begin with removing a very thin layer of your dental enamel to provide space for the veneer.
A strong dental cement will be applied to the surface of your tooth, and the restoration will be mounted. A special light is placed over the fresh veneer to harden the cement, permanently locking the restoration in place. Your bite will be checked for comfort and fit, and once you and the dentist are happy, you’ll be free to admire your new smile in the mirror!
